Brightness of these streets,
Reminded me of your eyes...
That grey twinkle, dancing with happiness,
When feeling the warmth of flakes,
And peeling off the covers of cold inside,
Protecting the core of my heart...
Crossing the road,
I came across the same candy shop,
You dragged me for our first after-marriage date,
Just know that, it isn't that gloomy anymore,
Like it used to be,
On every Eve of 25th December...
Without you, these lightings, merriments,
Are just a soft melody in the background...
Our big #Christmas tree,
Stands tall in the mid of the darkness,
Still, as a memoir,
Of our last Happy moment, of You...of Us...
Know what? I brought you another gift,
Just like all the past years...
Thought you'd, somehow,
Smell the fresh aroma of lilies laid beside your bed,
And would wake up, to wear this tiny anklet,
Giving me that, warm shy smile of yours...
This time, am waiting for mine,
Longing to hear your voice...
This #Christmas, give my gift too,
And open your eyes, whisper my name,
Won't ask you for any again...
