LONDON FALLS

Rush hour stress and rushing to work directly ended

in terrorist outrage, an attack of the worst on our capital city.

A bus blown up, many dead and bombs on tube trains

and many killed deep underground. No mercy, hope?

What now? More attacks? Pick up the pieces,

life will, must go on and determination is the way forward.

Don’t let the bastards win.

Only weeks before I was in London, near point zero,

seeing my mates. No problem then, unlike the aftermath today.

Not the IRA. No warning given, Al-Qaeda in trait and silence,

gathered evidence will bring them to justice.

Where next—Manchester, Madrid, where?

London falls but London will rise out of the ashes

as it conquers tyranny and terror.
